GPS is not EVV
Do not treat a GPS time clock as a replacement for EVV, care plans, clinical notes, payer billing, or patient records.
EVV and time tracking can overlap, but they answer different questions. If your agency needs certified EVV, confirm that separately.
Use GPS as review context
GPS should prompt a review, not decide the answer by itself.
Before payroll, the office should still be able to see the visit or job label, corrected time, travel note, mileage note, supervisor approval, and the reason for any edit.
The goal is a clearer time record, not constant monitoring.
