Clocking in by phone

Clock in and out by calling the phone-clock number and entering your phone clock ID and PIN.

Clocking in by phone

If your workplace uses phone clocking, you can clock in and out from any phone — no app or kiosk needed. It's a good fit for field crews and remote sites.

Call the phone-clock number, then follow the prompts:

  1. Enter your phone clock ID, then press pound.
  2. Enter your PIN, then press pound.
  3. If your workplace requires a job on each entry, enter the job's phone code, then press pound.

The call clocks you in if you're currently out, or out if you're in, reads back the time, and asks you to say your name after the tone — a quick voice check. It then confirms your entry is complete.

Getting set up

Your administrator gets you started one of two ways: they give you a PIN, or they email you a setup link to choose your own. If you get the link, open it and pick a PIN — the page then shows your phone clock ID and the number to call. Keep your phone clock ID handy; you enter it every time.

Tips

  • Call from a quiet spot so the prompts come through clearly.
  • Keep your PIN private.

Common questions

What number do I call?

Your administrator gives you the phone-clock number — it's the same number for everyone. Your phone clock ID is what identifies you. If you set up by link, the number is shown on the confirmation page.

How do I get a PIN?

Your administrator either gives you one or emails you a setup link. With the link, you choose your own PIN and never have to share it.

Why does it ask me to say my name?

It's a quick voice check that records who clocked in. Just say your name after the tone — it happens after every phone clock-in or clock-out.

It doesn't recognize my phone clock ID.

Confirm with your administrator that you've been set up for phone clocking, and that you're entering the full phone clock ID followed by pound.
