How Clockspot works
The whole picture in one page — from a clock-in to payroll-ready hours.
Clockspot is a time clock for hourly teams. Employees clock in and out, those punches become timesheets, managers approve them, and the approved hours feed reports you use for payroll. This page is the map; each piece links to its own article.
Clocking in and out
Employees record time three ways — on the web Clock page, at a shared kiosk, or by phone. Each clock-in becomes a time entry with the in/out times and, if your workspace uses them, a job and notes.
Timesheets and approval
Time entries roll up into a timesheet for each pay period. A manager reviews and approves it. If an employee spots a mistake, they request an edit and the manager decides — the record stays accurate either way.
Time off
Employees request time off; managers approve it. Balances grow on their own from the leave types you define — see how accruals work.
Reports and payroll
Reports total regular, overtime, and leave hours and pay per employee. When a period is approved, you export it to your payroll system — see Running payroll.
Who does what
Everyone is an employee, an admin, or the owner. Roles & access covers the difference.
